A bathroom is the hardest room in a house to tile and the least forgiving one to get wrong. Water finds every shortcut, and it finds it years after the crew has gone.
So the work starts underneath: a substrate that is flat and sound, a pan sloped a quarter inch per foot to the drain, a bonded membrane carried up the walls above the shower head, and pre-formed pieces at every corner and curb. None of it shows in a photograph. All of it decides whether the room is still right in fifteen years.

Four Stages,
Run In The Same Order
Demolition and substrate
The old surface comes out, the framing and subfloor get checked, and anything soft or out of plane is corrected before new material goes in.
Waterproofing and flood test
Bonded membrane over a sloped pan, sealed corners and curb, then the pan is plugged and held full for 24 hours. If the line moves, we find it now.
Layout and setting
The pattern is dry-laid and centered on the room so cuts land at the edges. Niches and benches are squared to the tile, not the other way around.
Grout, seal, and walk
Grout is floated and cleaned, joints and transitions are detailed, and we walk the finished room with you before the crew packs up.
